The private academic institution Esade has increased the number of scholarship students by 6% compared to the previous year, reaching 296 students who have been able to access its courses with these aids. Scholarships usually subsidize between 80% and 90% of the tuition, which in degrees such as Business Administration and Management and the double degree in Business Administration and Management and Law amount to 16,950 euros and 19,500 euros per year, respectively.
This growth in scholarship funding has been possible thanks to the increase in allocated funds, which have reached 3.7 million euros. 33% comes from individual donors and organizations, and the rest corresponds to the business school's own resources.
Scholarship students in the 2020-2021 academic year represent only 8.7% of the total enrolled students. The most popular degrees among scholarship students have been Business Administration and Management, chosen by 86, and the double degree in Business Administration and Management and Law, by 51.
In the last ten years, scholarship students at Esade have grown by 157%, from 115 in the 2010-2011 academic year to almost 300 in the current academic year. Likewise, this year's increase in resources has allowed for the creation of a new line of aid covering 100% of the tuition fee.
Private contributions also allow for the promotion of research and knowledge within Esade. During the previous academic year, 1.7 million euros were allocated to finance different lines of research in collaboration with the business world, with the aim of generating relevant content and contributing to public debate.
