After weeks of already massive influx and full terraces, La Rambla will take another step next week in its return to normality with a new edition of Tast a la Rambla. The gastronomic event, organized by the Amics de la Rambla association and the Gsr group, will leave behind the restrictions of its last edition, which was held in a delimited enclosure with a maximum capacity of 2,000 people. In addition, it will recover its usual pre-summer dates. The eighth edition will begin on Thursday, June 2, and will last until Monday, June 6, taking advantage of the holiday.
"Seeing how La Rambla is and how Tast worked last autumn, we believe it will be a success," says the president of Amics de la Rambla, Fermín Villar. To ensure they achieve this, there will be an offer of almost 40 restaurants, 14 of which are located in Ciutat Vella and eight in La Rambla and its surroundings.
For five euros, you can try tapas and small dishes from establishments such as Amar Barcelona, Babula Bar 1937, Can Culleres, Carmina, Cera 23, Chickoa, Dos Pebrots, Família Nuri, Fonda España, La Pau, Mirch, Moka 1934, Bar Alegría, Casa Guinart, Pepa Tomate, Tapas 24, Telèferic and Xuba.
Desserts will be from the Barcelona Chocolate Company of the Museu de la Xocolata, L'Atelier, Pastisseria Escribà and Pastisseria Takashi Ochiai, among others. For drinks, Coca-Cola, Estrella Damm, Cinzano, Aperol Spritz and Royal Bliss will collaborate. The startup Incapto will provide the coffee.
Lanzarote will once again be the guest territory, with its goat cheeses accompanied by volcanic malvasia wines brought by Bodegas Los Bermejos, El Grifo and Bodega Lágrima. In this edition, Asturias and Castilla-La Mancha will join them. The gastronomic offer will be complemented by free showcookings and workshops, which will take place in the space located at the end of La Rambla de Santa Mònica.
