Decisive step in Eada Business School's growth strategy. The business school has officially inaugurated its second campus in the heart of Barcelona (Provença street, 216). Facilities spanning 4,500 square meters, distributed over eight floors, accommodating more than 400 undergraduate students. The renovation of the building, owned by the Catalana Occidente group and former headquarters of the insurer Crédito y Caución, involved an investment of 3.5 million euros.

Eada was the first business school in the Catalan capital, founded in 1957 to offer management programs for executives. More than seventy years later, the school annually trains 650 students, 92% of whom are international, coming from up to 88 countries. The inauguration of this building, projected since 2022, is part of the expansion strategy of this academic institution, which plans to grow by 25% in the next three years, both in student numbers and annual turnover.

The academic institution's ambition is to reach 1,000 students in the coming years, as well as triple its annual turnover, exceeding 35 million euros by 2028, after the school invoiced 26 million euros in 2023. All this, without forgetting its humanist purpose of training more and more professionals who will lead the companies of the future without forgetting values such as social commitment or sustainability.

"Education goes beyond the classroom: we train executives to lead with purpose, leaders who manage to generate a positive impact both on the economy and on society in general," defended Eada's dean, Jordi Díaz. Since September, the building has hosted, in its 12 interactive classrooms, students of the Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management and the double degree in Business Administration and Management and Artificial Intelligence for Business, and from next academic year, it will expand its academic offer with the double degree in Business Administration and Management and Sustainability for Business.

The campus inauguration ceremony was attended by the Deputy Mayor for Economy, Finance, Economic Promotion and Tourism of the Barcelona City Council, Jordi Valls, who highlighted that schools like Eada are part of the "knowledge and research structure of the city, which form one of the main engines of the city."

The building has 12 interactive classrooms, five spaces for group work, and eight meeting rooms.

A structure of which, for Valls, institutions such as the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) or the Parc Científic de Barcelona (PCB) are part, but also academic institutions such as Eada. "Barcelona is the scientific capital of Spain, but it is also one of the scientific and technological capitals of all Europe," Valls emphasized, and he valued that this fact represents a great opportunity to "lead from the Catalan capital the Europe that is being built," thanks to assets such as its universities or business schools.

A reflection shared by Koke Pursals, president of the board of trustees of the Eada foundation, who remarked that "Barcelona is one of the most important educational hubs in the world." Pursals recalled that three of the top one hundred business schools in the world ---out of more than 13,000 that exist across the globe--- are located in Barcelona, according to the ranking published annually by the Financial Times. The ranking has recognized the prestige of Barcelona institutions IESE, Esade, and Eada, equating the Catalan capital to cities like London or Paris, the other two cities in the world that concentrate so many recognized business schools.

With this new building, Eada now has three campuses (and a fourth virtual one): two in the center of Barcelona and another residential one in Collbató
A ranking that recognized Eada in the top 100 of the most prestigious institutions, especially for the proportion of teaching hours dedicated to ethics, social and environmental issues, and climate solutions applied to the business world. The list also emphasized the internationalization of the business school's student body, as it has students from almost 90 countries, 52% of whom come from European countries --- of which only 8% are nationals---but it also highlights the presence of students from Latin America, who represent up to 13%, or from Africa, with up to 16% of the total.

"The inauguration of this building was absolutely necessary, because our first one had become too small for us and we needed to continue growing, and to continue doing so from the heart of Barcelona," Pursals admitted. The new building has, in addition to 12 classrooms, eight meeting rooms, a large Student Hub space to encourage interaction and collaboration among students. The campus has also been recognized with LEED certification for its commitment to sustainability.

Campus 1 of Eada Business School, renovated in 2019, located on Aragó street.

Thus, with this new building, Eada now has three campuses (and a fourth virtual one): Campus 1, on Aragó street in Barcelona, the newly inaugurated Campus 2, and a third residential building in Collbató, with facilities covering up to 14 hectares. In fact, this second campus that the school is now inaugurating is very similar in structure to Campus 1, which was renovated in 2019 and is only a five-minute walk away, a building that also occupies 4,500 square meters and has 20 classrooms.

During the inauguration ceremony, the school also presented the Eada Distinguished Alumni 2025 awards, recognizing the career and professional impact of former students of the school. These awards recognized the Catalans Eloi Planes, executive president of Fluidra; José Alberto Carbonell, president of the Port of Barcelona, and Roger López, International President of Alcon. They also did not forget their former international students such as Jeremy De Maillard, CEO of Marshall; Pia Kleppe Markem, director of the Oslo municipal patrol, and Andrea Latten, Chief Business Officer of the United Kingdom.
