The optical and audiology services chain Cottet has acquired three new centers located in Vilanova i la Geltrú (2) and Sitges, which until now belonged to the La Holandesa group, part of Opticalia. With this operation, Cottet expands its presence in Catalonia, where it will now have 29 stores and makes its debut in the Garraf region. "These acquisitions are part of the implementation of the group's expansion plan, which includes new openings nationwide," highlights Javier Cottet, president of the company.
The company's objective is "to be present in strategic cities and towns," which is why it continues to analyze new growth opportunities. Cottet now has a network of 37 establishments, four of them franchised, and also has an online store. In addition to operating in Barcelona, the brand is present in Madrid and in cities such as Girona or Tortosa.
The optical group La Holandesa-Opticalia previously had a network of eleven stores in Barcelona, Mollet del Vallès, Cerdanyola, Sant Boi, Vilanova, and Sitges. After acquiring the three centers located in these last two cities, Cottet has already taken over management this week and plans to renovate the premises later to adapt them to the new concept it has implemented in its latest openings, such as the one recently carried out on Rambla Catalunya in Barcelona.
