Within the framework of the strategic plan Broseta Horizonte 25, the Valencian legal services firm chaired by Manuel Broseta has just opened an office in Barcelona, with its own team of professionals who were already operating in Catalonia and are now fully integrated into the organization. This is the Broseta law firm, with 50 people, 45 of them lawyers, led by six partners who had their own corporate structure since 2006. The firm is directed by Toni de Weest Prat (who comes from Andersen Tax & Legal), who works with partners Álvaro Gámez, José María Rebollo, Carlos Salinas, José Luis Aguilar, and Ramón Faus.
Broseta's executives argue that, after the offices in Valencia, Madrid, Lisbon, and Zurich, Barcelona was a natural expansion within the Mediterranean arc, given "our Valencian origin and our positioning in Madrid." They highlight its positioning as a first-rate business and economic center where "every legal services firm with growth aspirations must have a presence."
"A place with intense business activity and a first-rate reference for entrepreneurship and for the professional development of projects linked to digitalization and business investment (especially in sectors such as real estate, tourism, finance, etc.)," specifies Rosa Vidal, managing partner of Broseta.
The Valencian firm has offices in Madrid, Lisbon, and ZurichVidal adds that the firm will offer multidisciplinary advisory services in Barcelona in all areas of Business Law, and in specialties. And it highlights, among others, the real estate sector, startups, agri-food and tourism, and practices such as procedural-arbitration, banking and financial law, compliance, international tax, environment, M&A, urban planning, restructurings and insolvencies, and regulatory. "Alongside this, and based on Broseta's consolidated experience, we will also be able to offer a servicein situin the square to many of our clients in the rest of the peninsular geography, a matter that was already highly demanded by some of them," he explains.
In Toni de Weest Prat's opinion, in the Catalan capital Broseta will offer two clear added-value focuses. On the one hand, "the service capacity we offer to companies after this operation is broader, deeper, and more specialized, based on the experience of the colleagues who operated in Barcelona, and on the experience we already have in complex and highly business-intensive locations such as Madrid, Valencia, and Lisbon."
Along with this, Broseta offers its clients "a partnership position, because we participate in the strategy of their business as members of their team, with an agile and flexible structure that allows us to adapt to complex environments with proactivity, and a close, proactive, and involved team of partners with the client in every relevant decision."
In this sense, Broseta essentially targets medium and large companies, which constitute the bulk of its business portfolio, "although we also provide specific advice to private clients on needs related to our field of work, such as wealth management, taxation of senior executives, highly complex labor disputes, criminal matters in the business sphere, etc.," they add.
