The lockdown allowed rediscovering reading. There were no excuses not to read because, in fact, there was nothing to do, one could only be at home. It is not strange that, when the de-escalation began, many readers quickly went to the nearest bookstores, with the need to stock up on new reserves in case bad luck locked them back in their homes and with a hunger for new stories.

The Cambra del Llibre de Catalunya has launched a campaign to achieve, precisely, that everyone returns to bookstores and goes more often. And, as it is gift season, it encourages giving books, now that they are the only way to travel.
Llibreries. El món sencer embolicat per regal is the motto of this initiative, which has the collaboration of the Departament de Cultura and the Spanish Center for Reprographic Rights (CEDRO). The campaign began on December 11 and will run until January 5.
