Barcelona Startup Congress will be held again this year, adapting to the new context, after its first edition, which gathered some 400 attendees to reflect on the city's entrepreneurial ecosystem at the end of 2019. The second edition of this meeting will feature speakers such as the CEO of RedPoints, Laura Urquizu, and the CEO of Anteverti and curator of Smart City Expo, Pilar Conesa, among others.

The event will serve to debate the current state of startups after the impact of the pandemic, as well as to highlight their business fabric and offer an opportunity to reactivate it. The thematic axes around which it will orbit will be innovation, talent, and entrepreneurship, with the aim of approaching the ecosystem from a transversal perspective that includes multiple sectors. "Now more than ever, Barcelona needs events of these characteristics. The city is by its own right one of the main technological hubs in Europe and must continue to maintain its leadership for many more years," explain the co-founders of the congress, Raimon Recorder and David Peris-Mencheta.
It will be held on March 23 and 24 and will be broadcast exclusively digitally. The program will consist of more than 12 hours of content and, in addition to Urquizu and Conesa, will feature the CEO of Savills-Aguirre Newman Barcelona, Anna Gener; the head of Revolut in Spain, Ignasi Giralt; the former Innovation Advisor to the White House in the Obama Administration, Natalia Olson-Urtecho, and chef José Andrés. The event has the support of Revolut, Secpho, Ibercaja, Innomads, and Valkiria.
