Double announcement from the startup Onalabs Inno-Hub. The company of digital biomarkers in sweat for the study of skin and health has partnered with Barça Innovation Hub (Bihub) as a strategic and non-monetary partner. It has done so after closing a capital increase of 1.8 million euros, with investors that the company has refused to reveal.

The capital increase has doubled the entity's valuation compared to a year ago, and has allowed the incorporation into the shareholding of the Barça hub, focused on promoting innovation in the sports field. Bihub will contribute its main non-monetary assets and will help boost the company. The blaugrana club's hub will collaborate with Onalabs on the evolution of the Onasport device, which will activate its pre-sale campaign in the last quarter of this year.

This device consists of a chest strap that measures in real time and continuously and remotely values such as heart rate, electrolyte loss and dehydration, and does so through sweat. Thus, it is a multisensor that monitors parameters that allows optimizing training and improving muscle efficiency and injury prevention. It aims to open a new paradigm in physical preparation.

Onalabs and Bihub are committed to improving this device with the participation of the club's athletes. Their goal is for the product to evolve and include new biomarkers. The co-founder and CEO of Onalabs, Elisabet del Valle, has assured that Bihub's entry as a partner represents "a disruptive alliance to reinforce knowledge and leadership" in the area of remote and non-invasive monitoring of health parameters.

"It will represent the beginning of great changes and new paradigms in training and monitoring of sports health," she added about this collaboration with Bihub. With this agreement, Onalabs becomes the third startup participated by the entity. It already collaborates with Visualfy, which promotes accessibility for people with hearing disabilities, and with Oliver, which works on data management in grassroots sports clubs to improve the performance of athletes.

The startup has also developed a device aimed at remote monitoring of vital signs of the elderly, chronic patients and fragile people
The device on which Onalabs and Barça will collaborate is not the company's only one. The startup, based in Cerdanyola del Vallès and with a subsidiary in Andorra, has also developed Onavital, which is aimed at the remote monitoring of the main vital signs of the elderly, chronic patients and fragile people, delving into a paradigm shift and personalized health.
