The lack of technological profiles to cover all the demand for professionals that the entrepreneurial sector is generating is one of the city's great pending issues. Faced with this need, the training center Nuclio Digital School, founded by entrepreneur Carlos Blanco, offers courses to acquire the digital and technological skills that startups demand. Specifically, its training offer includes intensive four-month master's degrees in data science, cybersecurity, product management, programming, digital marketing, talent management, and UX/UI design.
Banco Sabadell, through its venture capital division Sabadell Venture Capital, has invested one million euros in this bootcamp, which has campuses in Barcelona and Madrid, in addition to a digital one. The financial entity wants to position itself in this way as a strategic partner for the development of Nuclio Digital School's international expansion strategy. For the director of Sabadell Venture Capital, Raúl Rodriguez, "the deficit of digital talent is a barrier for many companies on the path to digitalization, and it is in this growing space where Nuclio positions itself with a transversal and quality digital education offer, as demonstrated by the high degree of employability of its students."
In addition to Blanco, Nuclio Digital School's management team includes the CEO and co-founder of the school, Jared Gil; the managing partner at the Nuclio group and Nekko Capital, Ernest Sánchez, and the current CEO of McCann Barcelona, CIO of McCann Spain and McCann Worldgroup, and co-founder and former academic director at ESIC, Enric Jové.
The entry of Banco Sabadell into the Barcelona training center occurs at a time of maximum boom for the educational industry. The new editions of Nuclio Digital School's programs, which were launched in September, will fill the classrooms of the Barcelona and Madrid campuses and the streaming sessions with students from all over the world. The number of international students has increased thanks to the new English edition of the master's in data science and the new editions for Latin America.
