Coinciding with the beginning of June, Damm premiered this Friday the trailer for its traditional summer advertisement. This year, it has opted to sign one of the singers of the moment, Bad Gyal, to become the soundtrack of the summer with El Sol Me Da, a new song that the artist will release in parallel with the start of Estrella Damm's advertising campaign.
The spot, written and directed once again by Oriol Villar, creator of the Mediterráneamente concept, was filmed entirely in Barcelona and the Costa Brava and recovers the festive and celebratory tone that characterized the famous advertisements of the brewing group set on the beaches of the Balearic Islands. In 2022, the brand opted for an intimate short film starring French actor Phénix Brossard, featuring landscapes filmed in the Congost de Mont-rebei, the Vall d'en Bas, and Cap de Creus, with music composed by Rigoberta Bandini and performed by Santi Balmes and Clara Viñals.
This summer's campaign, dubbed PKM, in addition to starring Bad Gyal, features the participation of youtuber Javier Ruiz, known as xBuyer and a reference in the world of football with more than five million subscribers to his channel and owner of one of the teams that play in Gerard Piqué's King's League.
The spot shows Bad Gyal on tour, with images of concerts, fans, and hotel rooms. She lists the next destinations she must fly to continue her tour ---London, Buenos Aires, Mexico, Puerto Rico...--- while feeling nostalgic for her homeland as she sees, through social media, how her friends are having fun, partying on a luxury yacht. "What bastards," says the artist born in Vilassar de Mar and daughter of actor Eduard Farelo.
When her assistant tells her "on the 28th we go home," referring to Miami, Gyal says, "home? No, we're going home," meaning her real home in Barcelona. Immediately, the singer orders to change plans to fly home ---"you're crazy," her companion tells her--- and we see her reunite with her friends aboard a splendid sailing catamaran cruising in front of the beaches of the Catalan capital. "Finally here," she tells them, while toasting with them with an Estrella Damm and the message "You are in charge of your life" is superimposed on the screen.
The advertisement will premiere in the coming days on social media and on the Estrella Damm website.
