Intense week in the Barcelona tech ecosystem. After the Factorial round and the multi-million dollar financing line from Perk, Ávoris has announced the agreement to purchase 100% of Atrápalo. Thus, what is positioned as the leading travel and tourism group at the state level acquires the platform born in Barcelona in 2000, a benchmark in experiences, leisure, and travel in the peninsula and also Latin America.
The operation —subject to the approval of the National Commission of Markets and Competition— represents a leap for Ávoris, which becomes one of the main players in digital B2C tourism in the Spanish-speaking market. And it is that, with the acquisition, the group of Balearic origin combines its tourism positioning with Atrápalo's digital experience, with the aim of leading the various tourist distribution channels.
With the acquisition, Atrápalo's identity remains "intact", as highlighted by the company's CEO, Luis Alonso. "Being part of Ávoris provides us with access to new capabilities, resources, and development opportunities, while keeping our identity, our business culture, and the value proposition that has allowed us to build a relationship of trust with millions of users intact," emphasized Alonso, who assumed the general management of the company in 2024.

Until now, Ávoris already held a leading position in traditional tourism through an extensive network of agencies, tour operators, and specialized brands. With the incorporation of Atrápalo, it redoubles its digital commitment and the weight of the business aimed at the final consumer, where it already operates through brands such as Muchoviaje. The group, which is part of Barceló, is made up of more than 6,400 employees, and has 3,000 direct sales points and 35 brands linked to tourism from different angles.
"The incorporation of Atrápalo represents an operation of enormous strategic value for our group," defended the executive president of Ávoris, Vicente Fenollar, who highlighted that the Barcelona-based company "brings talent, digital capacity, customer knowledge, and a solid international presence that perfectly complements Ávoris' strengths." In the same vein, the general director of Ávoris, Juan Carlos González, added that the operation "reinforces the group's distribution capacity, expands its presence in the leisure sector, and places it in an even stronger position to continue leading the evolution of the tourism sector."

Furthermore, the operation represents a significant boost for Ávoris' international expansion. From Barcelona, Atrápalo currently operates in Spain, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, and Peru, and this presence in nine countries will allow Ávoris to accelerate its development in strategic Latin American markets. Thus, Ávoris reinforces its leadership in tourism distribution while Atrápalo begins a new stage hand in hand with one of the largest groups in the sector.
