He holds a doctorate in history and lives between Girona and Paris, where he works as a professor at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales. Jordi Canal (Olot, 1964) has studied Carlism, political exoduses, and has now just published Historia mínima de Cataluña (ed. Turner, in Catalan and Spanish), a work destined to be controversial, which summarizes the history of Catalonia in 300 pages.
