The e-commerce multinational is once again betting on the Catalan capital in its international strategy. Amazon is looking for 100 workers for its technological hub, located since 2018 in its offices in Barcelona, in 22@. The company plans to hire them throughout 2022.
The hub serves different business areas of the e-commerce giant. For example, it works researching and devising new products for the business services divisions, development of e-books and other reading devices, digital finance solutions, or engineering services for the entire group. In Madrid, Amazon also has a center of these characteristics.
To meet this demand, the company is looking for software and hardware developers, and specialists in machine learning, data science, and business intelligence, according to La Vanguardia. The workforce that the multinational concentrates in the two technological centers, in Barcelona and Madrid, totals 600 workers. At the Barcelona headquarters, the most important in all of Southern Europe, it also offers customer service to SMEs that sell through the platform.
