Following its expansion strategy designed from Barcelona, Aire Ancient Baths has opened its second center in New York. Located on the Upper East Side, the group has converted an old warehouse for MoMa's artworks into its new spa, which features a unique element: a pool suspended between two floors of the building with transparent walls and bottom.

This pool, which allows floating due to the high salt concentration, is the emblem of the new center, which also features warm, hot, and cold pools, as well as a steam bath, among other facilities that have transformed nearly 900 square meters of the building that houses it, built in 1900.

"We have worked to preserve the personality of this location, keeping the original bricks, beams, and vaulted ceilings visible," highlighted Amadeo Serra, CEO of Aire, following the usual model of their spas.

The new center is the group's ninth worldwide, and is part of an expansion strategy that Aire leads from its Barcelona headquarter. The company, founded in Seville in 2001, opened its first center in the Andalusian capital in 2004. The second arrived in 2009 in Barcelona, where the company grew to locate its operations center, which opened a new headquarters last year.

Since its creation, the group has expanded to have centers in four countries, including the United Kingdom, with a spa in London, and Denmark, in Copenhagen, in addition to Spain and the United States.

Within the expansion plan, endowed with a total of 55 million euros, the company also plans to open in Toronto, which will represent its arrival in Canada, and in Los Angeles, which will be its fourth center in the United States, joining the two in New York and the one in Chicago.
