Two guests will be able to enjoy Casa Vicens, the first house designed by Antoni Gaudí at the end of the 19th century, for one night this autumn. To do so, they will be able to rent the stay through Airbnb, which will require them to be of legal age, have a verified profile on the platform, and have a good review history. Due to the pandemic, a fourth condition will be added: living together, to reduce the possibility of contagion.
This action promoted by Airbnb seeks to promote this tourist asset of the city, as it already did in Paris with the Louvre. Travelers who book a stay at Casa Vicens will have full access to the summer house designed by Gaudí and declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco, and will enjoy a tour led by Emili, a member of the team that transformed this house into a museum. "We are deeply committed to the preservation of Gaudí's cultural heritage and it will be a great pleasure to share the secrets of the building and its rich history with guests," he says.
In addition to the visit, a dinner will be offered in the main dining room, designed by the Hofmann hospitality school, and breakfast in the house's private garden. All for a symbolic price of one euro, plus fees and taxes. The night's reservation will open on July 12 and the first couple to apply and meet all requirements will be selected.
