The Prisma building, popularly known as the Dau and located next to El Corte Inglés on Diagonal, has a new tenant. Abertis Mobility Services (AMS) has just moved its headquarters to this office complex to cope with its growth and the increase in its workforce, which has doubled between 2021 and 2022.
Until now, AMS operated from the corporate headquarters that the Abertis group owns on Avenida Pedralbes. In the Prisma building, a 500 square meter floor has been rented where 40 people now work. From the new facilities of the infrastructure group's technology subsidiary, services are provided to the thirteen countries where AMS operates in America, Europe, and Asia. Globally, the company now employs more than 700 people of about thirty nationalities.
According to the company's CEO, Christian Barrientos, the new global challenges affecting mobility have resulted in a significant increase in the portfolio of projects that AMS develops in Europe and the United States, in reference to new technologies linked to barrier-free tolls or the implementation of pay-per-use or pay-per-congestion or pay-per-pollution solutions.
"We needed a space where all our collaborators could be together, offering better support in the development of solutions and technology to our teams around the world," Barrientos highlighted. According to the executive, AMS plans to continue growing in Barcelona with the incorporation of new technological profiles and those linked to mobility that will allow it to face the boom in its business.
AMS has developed vehicle detection systems that allow, for example, traffic management in Low Emission Zones and other technological systems for infrastructure usage pricing, as well as platforms to more intelligently manage mobility in urban and interurban environments. Recently, the company won the project for the implementation of Pamplona's Low Emission Zone. In the international market, the company operates in the United States, United Kingdom, Puerto Rico, Canada, Qatar, Chile, France, Croatia, Netherlands, Poland, and Montenegro.
