The most original and exclusive plans for San Juan in Barcelona 2026

The night of San Juan in Barcelona is celebrated in the streets, venues, and terraces. This year, you will find a wide variety of proposals to celebrate the verbena: fire traditions, musical dinners with views, or premium parties in front of the Port of Barcelona.

1. The arrival of the Flama del Canigó

One of the most classic options to celebrate San Juan in Barcelona is with the arrival of the Flama del Canigó. This is a symbolic element that lights different bonfires spread throughout the city's neighborhoods. The official welcome will take place in the Plaça de Sant Jaume with a wide display of popular culture, music, and traditional dances.

The events of this day will start at 5:00 PM with the beginning of the convoy's route from Arístides Maillol street towards the city center. At the same time, Plaça de Sant Jaume will begin to liven up with the performance of l'Esbart Català de Dansaires, which will give way, at half past five in the afternoon, to a sardana dance open to everyone to the tunes of the Cobla Sant Jordi – Ciutat de Barcelona.

The rhythm of the afternoon will intensify at 5:45 PM, when emblematic figures such as l'Àliga, the Capgrossos Macers, and the Gegants de la Ciutat will emerge. All of this will culminate at 6:00 PM with the arrival of the Flama at the square, the lighting of the brazier, and the construction of a pillar of honor by the Castellers de Barcelona. After the reading of the official message written by Pere Mateu, the fire will be distributed, at which point the different neighborhood teams will collect the torches to light the bonfires throughout Barcelona.

2. La Nit del Foc at SíSí Rooftop (The Social Hub Poblenou)

This rooftop in Poblenou proposes a Sant Joan celebration inspired by the great Mediterranean traditions, but from its viewpoint. The evening includes special seasonal dishes, signature cocktails like the Solstice, and an updated version of the Sant Joan coca. The night will be accompanied by a musical proposal that will start at 7:00 p.m. with a live performance by Llum Blancafort Duo to accompany the sunset. From 9:00 p.m., the rhythm will pick up with a set by DJ Mr. B who will spin songs until well into the early morning.

3. An intimate dinner in the gardens of Hotel Miramar

Montjuïc mountain offers one of the best viewpoints of the Mediterranean and the Hotel Miramar takes advantage of this setting to organize a special celebration dinner in its gardens. The proposal includes three high-level gastronomic menus specifically designed for the occasion, live music, and privileged views of the fireworks that will explode throughout the city.

4. A sophisticated Sant Joan at Hotel Casa Fuster

TheHotel Casa Fuster opts for a more elegant, intimate, and exclusive Sant Joan. On its terrace, you can enjoy a special Sant Joan Menu that proposes a culinary journey of sea and mountain with a complete pairing. To round off the experience, the dinner will feature live music by Sita Simpson (from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.) and, once dinner is over, the records of DJ Gretaylosgarpo will play (from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.).

If you don't want to wait for the sun to set to start celebrating the verbena, the Blaumarí festival and the promoter El Paripé have prepared a party with privileged views. The Moll de Barcelona hosts this Tuesday afternoon party that will combine food-trucks, premium drinks, and live music. A foolproof formula to start the verbena dancing outdoors next to the boats.

6. An exclusive party at the Sitges beach club Hola Club

The verbena you'll find at the Hola Club in Cala Vallcarca in Sitges is perfect for welcoming summer with a drink in hand and your feet in the sand. We are talking about an exclusive plan on the beachfront that moves away from massive parties to offer 10 hours of music in a privileged setting.

The select atmosphere and the sunset over the Mediterranean merge with a soundtrack of house music featuring names like Ion Pananides, Alex Pott or Marcba. In addition, to forget about the car and enjoy the night with total comfort, there is a shuttle bus service that connects the center of Sitges with the club every half hour.

The entrance includes access to the space, the bingo card and a drink. In addition, after the game, the party will continue on the dance floor with music by DJ XEXO.

8. White Night Party in Gavà Mar

The Hotel Resort Playa Grande Tropical in Gavà Mar transforms into a sophisticated white night inspired by the Mediterranean essence. Its Sant Joan night will be characterized by all attendees dressed in white; thus, they will be able to create a unique and elegant scene facing the sea. The space will be decorated with torches, sparklers and warm lighting to welcome guests at 8:30 p.m. with a cocktail, a gala dinner, a live rumba performance and, finally, the verbena will conclude with a DJ session that will last until dawn.

9. Sant Joan Verbena at the Mamut Beach Club in Viladecans

The people of El Paripé double their bet for this verbena, also offering a very special evening on the beach of Viladecans. The Mamut Beach Club opens its doors from 8:00 p.m. with a special Sant Joan Menu for dinner in good company (from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.) and, once the time slot changes, a great verbena will start on the sand that will last until 4:00 a.m.

10. The classic verbena on the beaches of Barcelona

As happens every season, the city's beaches are expected to receive thousands of people again. If you decide to spend the night of the verbena on the sand, you must take into account the regulations that govern public space: bars have set the closing time at 3:30 a.m. and are not allowed to install auxiliary bars or have the presence of DJs. As for the eviction by the security forces, it will begin at 6:30 a.m. to allow the entry of the City Council's cleaning teams.

The Sant Joan verbena in Barcelona is a magnificent opportunity to leave home, enjoy popular culture and treat yourself to a gastronomic and musical tribute. The challenge this June 23 will be to decide which of the options you will officially welcome summer with. Happy verbena!
