Wolf Group invests 12 million in a factory in Gavà and creates 50 jobs

It occupies an area of 10 hectares and will be the first to manufacture polyurethane foams in the Iberian Peninsula

The multinational Wolf Group, one of the main European manufacturers and distributors of chemical products and systems for construction, has invested 12 million euros in the opening of a new factory in Gavà (Baix Llobregat) which will create 50 new jobs. The new plant occupies 10 hectares and will be the first to manufacture polyurethane foams in the Iberian Peninsula for the construction sector.

The facility will be able to manufacture more than 70 foam combinations with the forecast of producing 5 million units in the first year. The company has five factories and more than 400 employees worldwide, reports ACN.

The Minister of Business, Roger Torrent, celebrated the inauguration of the new plant "for its strategic value" as it is the first to manufacture polyurethane foams in the State and because it incorporates advanced technologies. He also highlighted that it is a project with growth potential and based on sustainability and innovation. For this reason, the project has had the support of the Government through ACCIÓ to strengthen the Catalan industrial fabric and boost the economy of Baix Llobregat.

In turn, the founder of Wolf Group, Jaan Puusaag, stressed that "industrial companies are important employers, as they involve all social groups and contribute to regional development." For his part, the CEO of the company, Peeter Tohver, pointed out that, with this project, they expect growth in market share in Europe and a boost in foam sales.
