Veeva Systems is an American company specialized in developing cloud software solutions for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies, covering the entire product lifecycle, from the research and development (R&D) process to the commercialization phase. The multinational located its first European headquarters in Barcelona in 2010, attracted by the dynamism of the local pharmaceutical sector. Once landed in the city, it expanded to countries such as the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Hungary, and Switzerland.

After passing through various locations in the Catalan capital, the software company has just opened new offices in the WTC Almeda Park business park, occupying 2,800 square meters. In this business park in Cornellà de Llobregat, it will share space with companies such as Pepsico, which has recently located a global digital hub, Ferrero, Panasonic, Cofidis, or Securitas Direct.

Veeva's new headquarters responds to the international expansion plan that the multinational is promoting. The company expects to reach 10,000 employees worldwide by 2025. In Cornellà, 250 employees work and it plans to grow to 500 in the next three years. In 2022 alone, it will already incorporate 50 new employees.

"Barcelona has become an important hub from where we serve clients across Europe: the expansion of our European headquarters reflects the growth we are experiencing as a company, as well as our commitment to the city," explains Veeva's President in Europe, Chris Moore.

With the expansion process carried out in Cornellà, which has received advice from Acció, the new headquarters has become the largest of all its locations in Europe. From the Catalan offices, Veeva supports the more than 1,000 clients the company has worldwide, from pharmaceutical multinationals to biotechnology startups.

The multinational works for companies such as AstraZeneca, Bayer, Boehringer Ingelheim, GSK, Janssen, Leo Pharma, Lilly, Moderna, Nestlé, Novartis, Pfizer, Roche, or Sanofi. Founded in 2007, the company recorded revenues of 1,685 million euros last year, up 26%.
