Well-being adopts a new form in Barcelona. On Ausiàs March street, REPEAT opens its doors with a concept that seeks to go beyond the traditional gym: a space where training, recovery, and nutrition are part of the same continuous experience. The proposal is framed within a way of understanding self-care adapted to the urban rhythm, where moving, stopping, and recovering are no longer separate moments.
The space has been promoted by Nilou and Mehrazin , two entrepreneurs with a background in the field of movement and well-being. After years linked to pilates, both developed a concept in Barcelona that starts from a clear idea: to create a place where not only one trains, but where one also learns to rest and recover . After evaluating different cities, they chose Barcelona for its connection with an active lifestyle and its relationship with architecture and urban space, elements that have directly influenced the conception of the project. As they themselves point out, "Barcelona is in the midst of a wellness wave." REPEAT proposes a model that goes beyond the conventional gym, articulating a proposal that combines different disciplines in the same space. The offer includes pilates reformer —a modality that uses machines with resistance to work strength and control—, training with method
Lagree (a high-intensity, low-impact system) and sessions of EMS ( muscle electrostimulation ). "The training is precise and results-oriented, but it is backed by recovery and by an environment designed for long-term performance," its founders point out.
Added to this approach is a key part focused on recovery , with services such as sauna, ice baths, massages, red light therapy, or guided breathing sessions. The idea is to integrate rest as part of the process, not as something secondary. As a summary of this philosophy, they emphasize that "everything is intentional. Every detail has a purpose." The space operates with access to individual sessions or through memberships, adapting to flexible routines typical of the city. Design is one of the central elements of the project. Developed together with the studio MEAN *, REPEAT is conceived as a urban refuge , where architecture accompanies the experience. The space opts for curved shapes, natural materials, and lighting that builds atmosphere. Elements such as handmade tiles from Cumella connect the project with the local language, while the organic and enveloping forms evoke references to Barcelona's architecture, such as the Sagrada Familia , transferred to a contemporary interior. The color organization helps differentiate uses: warm tones for training, neutral tones for the café, and soft greens for rest areas. More than decorative interior design, this is a design that seeks lower the intensity of the exterior and generate a real pause . In this sense, the project "brings together everything we have tested, perfected, and missed, transformed into a single concept." An integral model beyond traditional fitness. ©REPEAT The experience is completed with a coffee shop integrated into the space, developed together with Nudes Café , specialized in functional nutrition. Here the proposal revolves around products designed for after training: smoothies functional, specialty coffee or gluten-free and sugar-free dishes. The idea is simple: that care does not stop at exercise, but also continues with food. In this way, REPEAT builds a complete journey where the user can train, recover and eat without leaving the same space. The opening of REPEAT is part of an increasingly present trend in cities: spaces that understand well-being as something global, beyond the fitness traditional. The center, with prices per session ranging from 27 to 45 euros, positions itself within this new model, where self-care is integrated into the daily routine and adapted to urban life.
