The University of Barcelona (UB) adds two new training centers. The Generalitat has accredited Hospital Sagrat Cor and Hospital de Mollet as university hospitals, two centers that until now had the status of centers associated with the UB.

"This recognition represents a qualitative leap and an expansion of internship agreements and research projects in these two hospital complexes," said Ricardo Casaroli, assistant for coordination with the UB's network of healthcare institutions.

Hospital Sagrat Cor, managed by QuirónSalud, has a total capacity of 332 beds and offers most medical and surgical specialties. On the other hand, Hospital de Mollet serves 165,000 people from Baix Vallès and is a reference in nephrology and dialysis.

With these two new additions, the UB now has a total of seven university hospitals. The list is completed by Clínic, Bellvitge, Sant Joan de Déu, Hospital Mútua de Terrassa, and Moisès Broggi.
