Barcelona Tech City continues to strengthen its position in the city of Barcelona. The Swiss multinational Also has chosen to locate its headquarters in Pier 03, from where it will serve the entire state market. This technology provider, specialized in cloud services, recently landed in Spain with the launch of Also Cloud Spain, a digital marketplace available from this month, through which the group wants to expand its information technology (IT) business line.

Also has signed an agreement with Barcelona Tech City and has become a corporate partner of this private association, which works to promote the city's digital and technological leadership. Pier 03 is the second building that Barcelona Tech City has created to encourage the establishment and development of emerging companies, making them coexist with large corporations and investors under one roof. Initially, Pier 03, located in the historic building of Els Porxos d'en Xifré, was intended for startups focused on blockchain, but in the end it has become an extension of Pier 01, located a few minutes away and not focused on any specific technology.
For this multinational, with annual revenues of 11,000 million euros and 4,000 employees, locating in Pier 03 is an opportunity to give visibility to its innovation and development projects, and to get closer to the ecosystem that Barcelona Tech City has promoted. "We are convinced that Barcelona Tech City is the best partner for our landing in Spain, as we share a work philosophy that is committed to innovation, talent and dynamism," says the general director of Also Cloud Spain, Montserrat Peidro-Insa.
