Second chapter of the audiovisual series that the Hac Te hub has produced in collaboration with The New Barcelona Post. In the capsules that make up Art+Science+Technology, creators, researchers, curators, teachers, and entrepreneurs reflect on the synergies between the three disciplines that form this alliance promoted by a dozen Catalan institutions to position the Catalan capital as a reference hub in artech.
This week, collaborations are analyzed with the participation of the emeritus researcher from the Institute for Research in Biomedicine-BI Ernest Giralt; former UPC student Marc Gálvez; professor at the Barcelona School of Telecommunications Engineering of the UPC Ferran Marqués, and EINA professor and artist in residence at Melis-UPF Jo Milne.
After this Wednesday's chapter, two more will be pending. The third video, available from May 3, analyzes and clarifies the concept of digital art and Barcelona's position in this discipline, while the fourth, to be published on May 10, talks about the economic and social impact of digital culture in Catalonia. The first reflects on the need to provide transversal answers from the fields of arts, science, and technology to complex contemporary challenges such as climate change or digital transformation.
