The Sagrada Família is once again announcing its social action fund. This time it is doing so by increasing the allocation by 50%, reaching 3.5 million euros aimed at co-financing initiatives and social projects promoted by non-profit organizations.
The Temple Construction Board has opened this second call with the aim of expanding its scope and reaching more projects, which can submit their applications until December 7.
The fund was created last year with the aim of collaborating with entities that operate within the Archdiocese of Barcelona, aimed at responding to current social needs and demands.
The first call, endowed with 2.3 million euros, was distributed among 21 municipalities in the territorial scope of the Archdiocese of Barcelona, in multiple areas of action. Projects focused on combating poverty and exclusion represented 27%, while 25% was dedicated to the health sector; 23% to childhood, adolescence and youth; 18% to old age, and 7% to migration and refugees.
