The Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) is finalizing the details of its next edition, with which it will celebrate 20 years and expects to break records. With its sights set on its most ambitious edition to date, the organizers of the audiovisual show have communicated the economic impact that ISE 2023 had on the city, when it brought together more than 58,100 attendees from 155 different countries. The event left 385 million euros in Barcelona's economy, of which 243 million were direct and 142 million indirect. Congress attendees alone spent 130 million euros during their stay on the days the show lasted.
"Our goal is to build a lasting legacy in the city, together with our local partners, and help consolidate the audiovisual ecosystem in the country," says its general director, Mike Blackman. In this sense, more and more companies have settled in Barcelona since the arrival of ISE in 2021, such as B-Tech, Lang, Aztec, Midwich, Lightware, InFiLED, and LiveU.
The organizers of ISE expect to surpass these figures in next year's edition, even the record number of participants they registered in 2019, still in its old venue, Amsterdam, and without the pandemic in between. From January 30 to February 2, the audiovisual fair expects to have 1,300 exhibitors, of which 80 will debut, and it expects to occupy 65,000 square meters in the Gran Via exhibition center, 30% more than last year. All in all, it will gain two pavilions, coming to occupy all pavilions except 8.1, in addition to enabling the north access to the complex.
The new pavilions that the show will incorporate in 2024 will be 1 and 4, previously destined for the IOT Solutions World Congress (IOTSWC), a fair organized by Fira de Barcelona dedicated to presenting technologies that are transforming the industry. After two joint editions, the IOTSWC will become independent and will be held from May 21 to 23, 2024.
