STREET ART BY TheNBP

The immersive work by Christo Javacheff in Barcelona that could have been and was not

Barcelona has a great hidden treasure: works of art located in its streets. They are pieces by great international artists, but many times we pass by without realizing their existence. Today we finish the first season of #StreetArtbyTheNBP by learning about a project that remained a sketch after years of negotiations with the Barcelona City Council: wrapping the statue of Columbus. Its author, Christo Javacheff, who died in 2020, is recognized worldwide for his wrappings of islands, palaces and bridges. A way to enhance the value of those great works that we see every day.
