The film Carry On, by Catalan director Jaume Collet-Serra, could become the most-watched film in Netflix's entire history. Just five weeks after its premiere on December 13, the feature film has already accumulated more than 150 million views. With this figure, the film is currently positioned as the fifth most-watched in the platform's history. But the production is climbing positions to reach the Netflix podium, which is now led by Red Notice with 230.9 million views in the first three months.

The film's premiere became the best start for a feature film on the platform, at least since the audiovisual content company began releasing data in June 2023. In just three days, it garnered 42 million viewers, and the following week it added 55.1 million more, the maximum record in seven days for any film on Netflix.

Based in the United States, Catalan director Jaume Collet-Serra ---known for action films like Black Adam or Jungle Cruise --- surprises with this thriller. On Christmas Eve, a security agent at Los Angeles airport receives a threat from a passenger that leads him to an extreme situation. The protagonist, played by Taron Egerton, will have to choose between letting suspicious luggage on the plane or having his wife killed.

With this plot, the film has been positioned for four weeks as the global number one in viewers on Netflix, although in recent days it has been surpassed by films like Ad Vitam or The Secret Life of Pets 2. The feature film by Catalan director Jaume Collet-Serra now seeks to continue breaking records and become the most-watched film of all time on the platform. If it registers one million more views in the coming days, it would surpass The Adam Project and Bird Box, which currently occupy the third and fourth positions respectively.
