The second place in the ranking is occupied by the capital of the United States, Washington D.C., where a hotel night costs an average of 282 dollars.

The Australian city of Sydney is the third most expensive: there, booking a hotel room has an average cost of 240 dollars.

The European city with the most expensive hotels is London (United Kingdom), with an average price of 217 dollars. London surpasses cities like Zurich (Switzerland), Oslo (Norway) or Copenhagen (Denmark), which are among the top ten.
