Catalonia, with six companies, is the autonomous community most benefited by the Perte for cutting-edge health. The Ministry of Industry has selected a total of 17 companies to allocate a line of aid of 11 million euros. Among them are: Sincrofarm, Chia Finishing, Urquima, Medichem, Vecmedical Spain and D Denginy Biorem.

Of the remaining, companies such as Faes Farma, Laboratorios León Farma, Vivebiotech or Laboratorios Liconsa stand out. The ministry received a total of 26 applications from 24 companies, of which 17 have been selected as beneficiaries of the Perte, a public-private collaboration instrument focused on the transformation of the health sector through science and innovation.

The projects include actions for the digitalization of production plants, automation of processes, development of new medicines, industrialization of tissue and organ biofabrication, reduction of waste and pollutants in factories, or innovations in manufacturing processes, among others.

Pending final concretization, the subsidized initiatives will be, in the case of Sincrofarm, aid (113,694 euros) to subsidize the digitalization of the production plant, located in Cornellà de Llobregat, according to ACN.

Regarding Texia Finishing, the ministry proposes to allocate aid to an innovation project in the design and production of sustainable and biodegradable surgical masks for hospital use. According to the resolution, the pharmaceutical company requested 258,250 euros, of which 57,050 euros are proposed to be awarded.

In Urquima, the Spanish government is committed to reducing the environmental impact associated with the production process of the Sant Fost de Campsentelles plant. Likewise, in Medichem, the resolution proposes to reduce waste and polluting elements from the Celrà plant.

In relation to Vecmedical, the resolution proposes to subsidize an automation system for washes for patients with urological pathologies.

Finally, in D Denginy Biorem, the Ministry of Industry is committed to subsidizing the 'Cell4DPharmaFab' project, which consists of designing an automated, robotized and digitized solution for the industrialization of tissue and organ manufacturing in the pharmaceutical industry.
