Signaturit Group strengthens and continues to expand internationally. The Barcelona-based group has reached an agreement to acquire Validated ID, a company specializing in digital identity and electronic signature. The operation, for an undisclosed amount, strengthens European leadership in the digital identity sector and expands its electronic services to offer document and identity verification, and digital and physical signature solutions.

Founded in Barcelona in 2012, Validated ID currently has a portfolio of more than 4,000 clients from some 35 countries. Its flagship product is VIDWallet, the first electronic wallet compatible with ESBI —the European blockchain services infrastructure—, thus offering greater credential security. In addition, they also offer VIDcredentials, a platform for managing the lifecycle of electronic credentials, and VIDsigner to facilitate in-person and remote signing.

In addition to expanding its range of electronic services, with this acquisition Signaturit also expects to strengthen its client network, managing more than 100 million annual transactions from over 100,000 accounts. Likewise, it will also extend its network of partners, including those of Validated ID, which has collaborating companies such as Sage, Docuware, and Microsoft.

"This acquisition represents a fundamental step towards our ambition to lead the European market and offer increasingly secure, comprehensive, and compliant electronic trust services in Europe," said the president of Signaturit Group, Sergio Ruiz. With the transaction, the legaltech group steps on the accelerator to approach its goal of 100 million euros in annual revenue, and already expects to exceed 70 million euros by the end of the year.

Born in Barcelona at the end of 2012, Signaturit Group currently has three offices —one in the Catalan capital, another in Valencia, and the third in Paris— and manages clients from more than 40 countries worldwide. Based on artificial intelligence tools, the group automates and simplifies manual tasks that include identity verification, certificate management or electronic notifications, or digital signature.
