Salomon 1965 is finalizing the opening of a new hotel in Barcelona, the former Hotel Barbara, located on Marquès de Barberà street, in El Raval. By Salomon Hospitality, the hotel division of the financial holding company, has signed a 30-year lease agreement with the family-owned property for this new stage, where the establishment will be managed by Majestic Hotel Group. In the city, the family office of brothers Harry and Toni Serra Moreno already manages the Hotel Lugano del Paral·lel, previously owned by the HCC chain.

By Salomon Hospitality's investment in this project, where a comprehensive renovation has been carried out for 12 months, amounts to four million euros. The adaptation works of the property have been carried out by the architecture and engineering studio Pulsen and the interior design studio of Conti Cert. "We saw that it represented a great opportunity because it has allowed us to recover the value of this property, respecting its tradition and ties with the neighborhood environment," says Harry Serra, CEO and co-founder of the Salomon 1965 family office.

In addition, the former Hotel Barbara will reopen next June under the new brand Casa Teva, with which the hotel division of the holding company "wants to promote a unique personality in the establishment, combining hospitality and closeness with comfort without stridency so that the guest feels at home and with all services at their fingertips." The establishment will have 54 rooms and dining spaces for one hundred diners, managed by chef Tomás Abellán.

This operation adds to Salomon 1965's portfolio of hotel assets, under ownership or co-ownership with other brands, which include Chic & Basic, Pulitzer, Isabella's Llafranc ---with the Isabella's Group---, and two luxury hotels also located on the Costa Brava, specifically in Begur and Tamariu, in alliance with the Casa Bonay group.

In the last two years, By Salomon Hospitality has strengthened its presence in Barcelona, but also in Seville. In the Andalusian capital, the group already owns four establishments and, among the latest additions, is the emblematic boutique hotel Palacio Pinello, currently undergoing reconversion and modernization. In total, the group's hotel portfolio amounts to 15 establishments, with an accumulated investment of 60 million euros. Salomon 1965 also invests in restaurants, such as Crep Nova or Good News, or with partners like Grupo Isabella's.
