The Roca group strengthens its potential in its faucet division. The Catalan company based in Gavà has acquired the Italian Idral, a manufacturer specialized in timed faucets designed for public and semi-public spaces.
With the acquisition of the company, Roca aims to boost its position in the field of faucets, especially those for bathrooms in public spaces and facilities such as schools and hospitals, as well as hospitality establishments.
Idral, based in Gargallo, near Milan, invoiced 10.3 million euros last year, and is part of a geographical cluster specialized in faucets, made up of more than 80 companies that account for 20% of Italian production of these products.
The company, with 50 years of experience, is a leader in smart solutions such as timed closures and sensor faucets. For the Catalan family-owned group, the operation represents a strategic move due to its potential growth in Europe. In addition, Idral's products complement Roca's portfolio, which has 79 factories and 20,000 employees globally.
