Ton and Anna, in their comings and goings from the bathroom, enter a world that seems identical to theirs… the furniture, the decoration… But where they find some subtle changes: a photo from a trip that is not always in the same place… the plates are not in the right cupboard but in the left one… And a significant change: the person they find there is the same one they left in the original world, but it is not.
Thus, Ton 1 discovers an Anna 2 and an Anna 3. And Anna 1 discovers other Tons… And both realize that, perhaps, they have more affinity with the Tons and Annas from other worlds than with those from their own. Or not.
Because Desaparellats is not just a science fiction comedy, it is also a comedy that talks to us about love, about human relationships, about what we want to build, about what we expect from others and, also, about what we want to offer.
Very natural interpretations and a good technical team
Esther López (Anna) and Ricard Farré (Ton) interpret with great naturalness a couple who find themselves in the midst of a mess that overwhelms them. A couple who accept the destiny given to them by their singular bathroom. A couple who learn to know what they want and what they want to do with their lives.
Ramon Pardina has written what seems like a simple comedy, but which has more depth than it appears.
Roc Esquius joyfully directs a comedy that is already joyful. There is rhythm. Everything flows. And the changes of world, even the most complicated ones, are done in a way that there are no interruptions.
Desaparellats, at Espai Texas, is a comedy that will make you laugh and have a very good time. And it will also make you ask yourself “and I, would I choose the same?”
