The IESE Business School MBA class that will finish in 2023 will be the largest in the business school's history, with 387 students enrolled in the course that just started this week on the Barcelona campus. For the first time, IESE has incorporated a sixth section into its flagship program, which has allowed it to host 32 more students than last year. 80% of MBA students are international, representing 59 different nationalities, with an average age of 29.
This master's degree, considered number 1 in the world by The Economist and fourth according to the Financial Times ranking, is taught in English and lasts 19 months, although some students take a shorter 15-month version. IESE Business School considers the increase in the number of students in the current pandemic context to be very good news. All MBA classes are taught in person, as IESE was the first center of its kind to resume in-person teaching in campus classrooms in June 2020, adopting safety measures that this year have been expanded with vaccination protocols.
In addition to temperature control and mask use, IESE has installed air renewal systems and recommends that all its students and employees be fully vaccinated and prove it with an official certificate. People without a complete vaccination schedule must present a PCR test every week to access the campus.
In addition to the MBA, in-person classes for the Master in Management and Executive MBA programs have also started at IESE, on the Barcelona, Madrid, Munich, and Sao Paulo campuses, with nearly a thousand students enrolled in total.
