Barcelona is full of wonderful places, full of stories and enjoyment. Centenarian and modern establishments share the streets of the Catalan capital and harmonize the vermouths, evenings, and nights of residents and visitors. It's no secret that the quality of the offer is unbeatable, and Paradiso has been proving it for eight years. The Barcelona cocktail bar founded in 2015 by Giacomo Giannotti and Grup Confiteria in the Born neighborhood, returns to The 50 Best Bars and this year occupies the 17th position. Thus, it ranks among the 20 best in the world for the eighth consecutive year. At the awards ceremony, the venue was also honored with the Rémy Martin Legend of the List Awards 2026, which highlights its trajectory and the consistency of its results in the ranking. "When we opened Paradiso, we bet on a team and a way of understanding mixology that could bring something new to Barcelona. Eleven years later, seeing how far the project has come is exciting," assures Lito Baldovinos, co-founder of Grup Confiteria.
The organization has highlighted Paradiso's pioneering role in the renovation of the Barcelona cocktail scene and its ability to promote new ways of understanding the experience around a cocktail. In fact, the cocktail bar also has the Paradiso Lab, dedicated to research and innovation, and the Paradiso Sustainability Summit, an annual meeting to exchange knowledge on sustainability. These two tools parallel to the venue have also been highlighted by the award. "Behind every cocktail there are many tests, hours of work, and a team that takes care of every detail. At Paradiso, we have always worked with rigor and with the desire to take creativity a little further," confirms Giannotti.
Almost a decade of recognition
With eleven years of history, Paradiso has built an international trajectory that received its first recognition from The 50 Best Bars in 2017, with the Campari One to Watch Award, an award that —according to the cocktail bar— "already pointed to the potential of the project." The Legend of the List award arrives in the tenth edition of the competition since that first recognition and "reinforces a trajectory marked by creativity and innovation," they specify. In this way, the cocktail bar entered the ranking for the first time in 2018, in 37th position, and since then has featured for nine consecutive editions, the last eight among the top 20 in the world. In 2022, it reached number one and became the first bar outside London and New York to be recognized as the best in the world. This was a historic milestone for the bar, as they confirm in a statement "it reinforced the international projection of the Barcelona cocktail bar."

Published annually since 2009, The 50 Best Bars recognizes the best establishments in the world to enjoy cocktail culture. The ranking is compiled from the votes of an academy of more than 700 international experts, including cocktail professionals, consultants, journalists, and sector specialists. Voting is confidential and independently supervised by Deloitte. It is clear, therefore, the difficulty of earning a spot on the list and even more so for eight consecutive years, as Paradiso has done. Innovation, proximity to the client, and the constant need to learn have brought Paradiso to the pinnacle of cocktail bars. Year after year they have become global references and, as Giannoti concludes, they will continue working to remain among the best in the world: "We want to continue surprising those who visit us, whether it's their first time or if they have been with us for years," concludes Giannotti.
