They are not models, nor actresses, nor fashion designers, nor photographers, nor stylists. But they charge for posing, for attending parties, for putting their name on fashion collections, for carrying a bag, for shooting videos on YouTube, for making themselvesselfies.Andrea Belverf, Dulceida,Marta Rimbau, Belén Hostalet, Gala González. They are just some of the queens of Instagram that the virtual world has crowned asinfluencers, this brand new profession that consists of exhibiting one's –supposed– lifestyle on social media in order to provoke the desire of millions of young people to be like them. Thousands and thousands of likes strengthen the credibility of these girls as brand prescribers, when they choose a sneaker, a hairstyle, a cream. They say that the economic crisis has enhanced their power. The directors of thefashion businessthey claim them as one more strategy in the promotion of their products. When Tommy Hilfiger and Gigi Hadid present a new collection in Barcelona, it is not enough for the American supermodel to personally attend the event; the marketing and communication departments decide that they should join the partyinstagramerslocal accounts with pedigree, that is, with a considerable number of followers. The morefollowers, more cache. The queue of fans on Paseo de Gracia grows with more direct consumers. [columns_row width="half"] [column]

[/column] [/columns_row] And what do you have to do to beinfluencer? How do you go from a daily hobby –or habit–, uploading one photo or another, to a business with a company, manager, and team? Armies of very young internet users are determined to achieve it. They update theiroutfitsdaily, idyllic moments to share are invented, they fill their accounts with good vibes, naturalness, of thestyle lifeperfect in the hunt for boyfriends-advisors with the goal of achieving a dream: to abandon the common status of followers to become a leader. It could be said that never before had it been so easy. The latest generation ofinfluencersyou no longer need to doreality showslike the Kardashians, nor present news like Carbonero, nor be the fiancée of a prince. They don't even find it essential to write a blog. The new batch ofinfluencerswho has made the change from girl to woman hand in hand with Instagram and YouTube is almost unknown to the average person. She is smart, has good taste and a lot of confidence. But she is a normal girl. [columns_row width="half"] [column]

[/column] [/columns_row] And why do some arrive and others don't? Why are there adolescents who do embrace their longed-for treasure –front rowin the parades of Paris, London, Milan, six thousand euros per photo, signings with luxury brands– and most don't? The easy becomes difficult when there is no objective explanation. It's a matter of grace and grace is intangible. It's the same as asking why one girl and not another is the most popular in the class. Maybe she's not the prettiest, nor the tallest, nor even the smartest. But she's the one everyone likes. She's special, she has charisma, she provokes a certain envy, almost rage, but when she pays attention to you, you melt. They are born leaders. And the rest, us, that million or two followers, want to dress, live and have fun like them. While we die for her to be our friend.
