Molins continues to grow. The Catalan firm has invested some 100 million euros in the purchase of the Portuguese Concremat, and also in the construction of two factories. Specifically, the new plants will be located in central Spain and in Oklahoma.

The future Spanish plant ---whose location the company has not specified--- will focus on precast concrete solutions, with a particular emphasis on industrialized housing. With this new plant, Molins estimates that it will produce some 3,000 units annually and that it will generate 80 new jobs in areas such as engineering, logistics, and on-site management.

Precast concrete is also Concremat's specialty. The acquisition by Molins will allow the company based in Sant Vicenç dels Horts to strengthen its position in Portugal and, furthermore, boost its business precisely in precast products, which will facilitate its entry into new markets.

In contrast, the factory that Molins will open in the United States will focus on another area: in Oklahoma, it plans to develop the Escofet brand, dedicated to the design and manufacture of urban furniture and paving.

The company intends to produce locally the most demanded lines in the United States, thus reducing delivery times, in a context also marked by tariff tensions. In fact, the US market represents 6% of Escofet's turnover. With this investment, which will generate 50 direct jobs, Molins aims to raise this figure to 30%.
