She doesn't know what to do to avoid seeing tourists. Neither horizontally nor vertically, much less with a wide-angle lens. It's a lost battle. She doesn't have much time either. The five minutes the guide gave them for photos are running out. She sees that the guide has already started moving and has begun explaining the next stop.

She notices annoyed gestures from what she deduces are locals, who are pushing their way through her overly crowded 'free tour' group. One, who is reading the newspaper from a terrace, glares at them when the guide turns up the microphone volume to tell some anecdote about the city's national hero. "How 'vintage'," she thinks, "it would look so good in a photo."
