New step for Mango in its commitment to reinforce its visibility and "the historic commitment" of the brand with the city of Barcelona. The textile group has installed its logo in Francesc Macià square in the Catalan capital, at the top of the facade of the emblematic building where the Danone logo has also been displayed for decades. With dimensions of 9.5 meters wide and 1.5 meters high, Mango's new sign replaces the one that advertised the Caser insurance brand, although that location had previously also been occupied by the Coca-Cola logo. According to the company, the sign will be able to impact an average of 52,000 vehicles and 285,000 people per day, which represents 20% of Barcelona's population. The new illuminated sign uses low-consumption LED lamps and is also designed to minimize light pollution.

"This installation reinforces the group's visibility and commitment to strengthening ties with the territories where it is present, especially Mango's historic commitment to the city of Barcelona," says the chain, which also recalls the agreement to debut as a sponsor of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell tennis tournament, which this week celebrates its 70th edition. The firm has dressed more than 400 people from the organization and tournament staff, including ball boys, line judges, and chair umpires.

Mango was born in Barcelona in 1984 at the hands of its president and owner, Isak Andic, who opened a first establishment at number 65 Paseo de Gràcia. Today, it has become a multinational with a presence in 115 countries and a network of close to 2,600 points of sale. In 2022, the group closedthe best financial year in its history, to approach revenues of 2.7 billion euros and obtain a net profit of 81.1 million, which represents a 20% increase. In addition to having some of its main stores in Barcelona, such as the new Mango Kids on Paseo de Gràcia ---the most important in the world in terms of turnover for the children's line---, in the Catalan capital the company has an innovation center called Mango Innovation Center in the 22@ technology district. In parallel, all its creative and garment design activity is centralized at its corporate headquarters in Palau-solità i Plegamans, now undergoing expansion. Finally, from another town in Barcelona, Lliçà d'Amunt, Mango coordinates all its international logistics activity.
