Primavera Sound Barcelona has presented today the lineup for its 25th edition, a very special event that will be held from June 2 to 6, 2027 at the Parc del Fòrum and will once again turn the Catalan capital into the musical epicenter of the planet. The festival has unveiled a list of 151 names that celebrate the festival's history and recall how far it has come since that first single-day event in 2001.
That first logo from the beginning once again presides over the lineup of this 25th edition as a nod to its origins. However, the great hallmark is female leadership: artists take command of a lineup that once again places parity at the center, as the festival has been doing for several editions.
The Primavera Sound 2027 lineup with a feminine touch
Among the names headlining the lineup, the debut of Doechii stands out. The American rap star arrives at the festival, thanks to the global success of her Alligator Bites Never Heal. Alongside her is Phoebe Bridgers, who has become the reference singer-songwriter for an entire generation after her new album Lost Weekend.
The lineup is completed by FKA twigs, ready to showcase a completely revamped show; Robyn, the queen of Swedish pop; local reference Bad Gyal, who will arrive at the Parc del Fòrum full of her most popular hits; and Hayley Williams, a female rock icon.
But the female lineup doesn't stop there. Also noteworthy are British artist Lola Young, with the echo of Messy's success still in her discography; Caroline Polachek; Kim Petras; Tinashe; Shygirl; Weyes Blood with her chamber pop; Julien Baker, who resumes her solo project after almost five years; and the unusual appearance of Vashti Bunyan, an 81-year-old cult voice who has barely offered a dozen performances in the last decade.

Icons, legends, and unexpected returns
In the section of great bands and guitar sounds, Primavera Sound 2027 once again brings together some of the most influential names on the international scene. The Irish Fontaines D.C. return to the festival on the eve of the release of Dopamine Chamber, their new album. Along with them will be the hardcore of Turnstile, Pavement, Dinosaur Jr., King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, the Bleachers led by Jack Antonoff and DIIV.
Electronic music will sign some of the most historic moments of this 25th edition. For the first time in their 25-year career, the British Massive Attack will debut on the Primavera Sound stage. Also joining for the first time will be the history of The Chemical Brothers, legends of club culture. This block is reinforced with great artists like Underworld, a special b2b session between Skrillex and the Australian Ninajirachi (who will close the festival), BICEP, Joy Orbison, the party-loving Prospa, and local artist John Talabot.

Among the surprises and returns of this edition, ANOHNI stands out, who will offer a special repertoire dedicated to the songs of her friend and collaborator Lou Reed. Likewise, Bradford Cox —one of the musicians who has performed the most times in the history of the venue— will reappear after seven years away from public life to revisit the psych-folk songbook of his project Atlas Sound.
Many more genres: synth-pop, metal or flamenco
The 2027 edition will once again connect seemingly distant genres: from the monolithic metal of Warning to the synth-pop of Metronomy, passing through the ambient of Malibu, the hip-hop of JT, the flamenco of Carlos de Jacoba & Ciutat or Converge, Full of Hell and Castle Rat.
The festival will once again serve as a loudspeaker for the future of music before it explodes into the mainstream. This is demonstrated by the presence of the digital post-pop ecosystem stirred by Arca, underscores, Snow Strippers or AKRIILA, who will coexist with emerging projects such as Westside Cowboy, @, Twisted Teens, Sophia Stel or pablopablo.
As a tribute to its own history, Primavera Sound 2027 will bring together unique proposals that only respond to their own rules: from the Argentine singer-songwriter Juana Molina or the electro-punk of Lip Critic, to Jesu (Justin Broadrick's project), the Canadians Angine de Poitrine or the producer Pole, key in the development of dub techno, who will review his trilogy in a show co-produced with the Unsound festival.

A week of Primavera in Barcelona
The main days of the festival will be held from Thursday, June 3 to Saturday, June 5 at Parc del Fòrum. In addition, there will be the usual free inaugural day on Wednesday, June 2, and the Primavera Bits closing party on Sunday, June 6, featuring an eight-hour four-hands set by Richie Hawtin, Four Tet, and Dixon.
In addition, the organization will soon announce a parallel program in venues and cultural spaces in Barcelona that will extend the anniversary throughout a whole week. And the professional event Primavera Pro will celebrate its 18th edition from June 2 to 5, premiering its new headquarters at DHub.
A quarter of a century after that first festival in 2001, Primavera Sound is preparing to write a new historic chapter. The countdown to the festival's 25th anniversary has already begun.
