The director of the Grec Festival de Barcelona, Leticia Martín Ruiz, closes her second edition at the helm of the event, consolidating the commitment to internationalization, support for creation, and opening to new audiences. In the festival's fiftieth year, the Grec has gathered 142,835 spectators and achieved an average occupancy of 95% in direct programming shows, with a program marked by big names from the international scene and a strong presence of local creators.

Art historian, musicologist, and cultural manager, Martín Ruiz arrived at the Grec in 2024 after a long career in institutions such as the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Teatros del Canal, and the SGAE Foundation. Her artistic project seeks to expand the festival's impact throughout the city, strengthen co-productions, and connect the performing arts with new audiences.

This edition has promoted 38 co-productions and celebrated the Grec's 50 years by reclaiming its legacy, but also its capacity to reinvent itself. A balance between memory and innovation that consolidates the festival as one of the great cultural events of the European summer.
