The LCI Education higher school of design and visual arts will inaugurate a new campus in Barcelona in 2024. To this end, the Canadian academic institution will invest 35 million euros in the construction of an 11,000 square meter building, in 22@. The Barcelona center, founded in 2013 after the association between LCI Education and the Felicidad Duce Fashion School, currently teaches classes in facilities on Balmes street, attended by national and international students.

The new educational complex will have the capacity to train some 2,000 students, which will make the Barcelona campus one of the three most important of this Canadian private education network, which has 23 schools spread around the world. The Catalan capital will be on par with the academic offerings that LCI Education has in Montreal and Vancouver, its main campuses. The global network has 3,000 teachers and trains more than 17,000 students each year.

The relocation project was planned after LCI Barcelona acquired the Seeway School in 2019 to consolidate its training offerings in graphic design and add three new educational areas: animation, video game design, and photography.

The future building, on the corner of Álava and Sancho de Ávila streets, and whose works will conclude at the end of 2023, will feature the latest technologies for training in the main academic areas in which the Canadian network has educational experience, such as fashion, interior design, product design, graphic design, animation, video games, and photography.

The school's directors are undertaking this project with the purpose not only of expanding and improving its facilities and the educational capacity of its center in Barcelona, but also with the objective of turning the campus into an area that fosters innovation and internationalization. Hence the choice of the new location in Poblenou, in the 22@ district.

LCI Barcelona wants to share experiences with institutions such as the Design Museum of Barcelona and with more than 1,500 companies and startups linked to media, ICT, and digital transformation, which are also located in this Poblenou district in Barcelona, specially dedicated to innovation, creativity, design, and technology.
