This morning she went out to buy oranges. She greets the deli owner in passing and promises her she will return another day, today she is loaded. She almost trips over a dog dragging its owner. And she is almost run over by a cart that was in a hurry to ask the butcher, who is named like her, for something. She resists buying more olives. She lets the grocer, who always hums when loading boxes, pass. Suddenly, she feels she has become a model for the multitude of tourists who cram the entrance. She straightens up and looks straight ahead to be well portrayed as an example of an endangered species. The attention lasts little and is replaced by the 'very, very typical' intake of smoothies and fruit pieces from the stall where her mother used to buy fish. There is still hustle and bustle, but it is no longer the same.
