Isdin makes a place for itself on Paseo de Gràcia. The Barcelona laboratory, specialized in sunscreens and dermo-cosmetic products, has inaugurated its first experiential space, whose objective is to disseminate and raise awareness about skin care, in addition to exhibiting the different ranges offered by the brand. It is designed for both consumers and pharmacists and dermatologists.
Casa Isdin is an establishment with an area of 800 square meters, spread over two floors. It is located at number 27 Paseo de Gràcia, between Consell de Cent and Diputació, where the women's fashion brand Anthropologie, from the Urban Outfitters group, was previously located, until its departure from Spain. The opening has led to the hiring of 10 workers.
The premises are divided into different areas. You can try their creams and buy them, but also attend talks and receive facial treatments. Specifically, there is a workshop where Isdin professionals advise visitors on their facial routine, evaluating the different available options from the photoprotection and dermo-cosmetic brand.
Facial analyses are also carried out, with an ultraviolet camera that detects spots and sun damage not visible to the naked eye, as well as studying variables such as hydration level and textures to determine the real age of the skin. To complement the analysis, on the lower floor, there are four cabins where skin care treatments are performed.
This opening coincides with the celebration of the America's Cup in Barcelona, a competition in which it will be the official sunscreen brand. During the regatta, the brand will provide its creams to the sailors and members of the different teams. Founded in 1975, Isdin is now present in more than 50 markets and has a workforce of 1,500 employees. In 2023, it registered sales of 569 million euros. Ownership is equally divided between Puig and Esteve. Marian Puig is its president and Juan Naya its CEO.
