This September, Go4clic will celebrate one year of existence. A year in which the edtech startup has managed to add 200 companies to its client portfolio. From freelancers to consultants, business schools to corporates. All of them have joined Go4clic's utopia: to capture students' attention in a world of digital learning.
The formula is simple: the firm has created a platform where any company that wishes can create its own online learning course.
Go4clic provides templates and resources to enrich the content to be taught. Its methodology revolves around two axes:
- Community: Go4clic defines itself as a "social learning platform." Its goal is to bring the in-person experience to the digital realm. That is, to make people participating in its courses meet, network, and generate knowledge collaboratively as they would in a physical class. For this reason, there is a community space on the platform.
- Gamification: The startup offers companies the possibility to gamify their content to generate engagement. How? By turning learning into a game with different levels and challenges to solve.
The utopia of Go4clic: achieving student attention in a world of digital learning"Today knowledge is acommodity, you can find it anywhere. Now what we value is the learning process." With this philosophy, Go4clic wants to make a name for itself in the sector ofedtech. Its objective is to make people interested in a topic, get involved, research, and propose more knowledge in the community. "We reversed the proposal. What we intend is for the students to be the ones who generate content. The teacher only has to light the spark," one of the founders elaborates.
For now, the feedback they receive from users participating in their training has an average of almost 5 stars. Their courses have participation levels above 95% and completion rates above 90%. "We are obsessed with generating user interest and participation, and that's what we then sell to companies," they detail.
Go4clic began operating in September 2020 with around 185,000 euros, comprising an investment from the founders ---Leonardo Giménez, Agustina De Nicola, Esteban Zozaya, and Mauro Gallardo--- of 120,000 euros and a pre-seed funding round of 65,000 euros. Today, they are 8 employees and expect to close the year with a turnover of 120,000 euros. In September or October, they will open a new investment round, with the hope of having launched their product in the United States this summer. They did so on the Appsumo software marketplace, and they hope this milestone will help them validate Go4clic and finish developing it.
