Festive elegance and excellent cuisine meet at the Terraza del Claris this Christmas. Derby Hotels Collection ignites the Christmas spirit at its exclusive Claris Hotel & Spa with a proposal that combines exceptional products, Catalan-rooted cuisine, and a touch of Asian exoticism, in a space that has consolidated itself as a benchmark for dining and a high-level meeting point in the city, with art as the common thread of the Barcelona chain.

Thus, the Claris proposes a luxurious gourmet Christmas to enjoy as a couple, in a group, or with family from its rooftop, a stone's throw from Paseo de Gracia, and with touches of innovation and tradition. Lobster, eel, or turbot will be some of the exceptional ingredients that will coexist with essential traditional dishes, such as escudella, cannelloni, creamy veal, and the Christmas log.

Each menu is designed to turn lunch or dinner into a sensory experience, where traditional cuisine intertwines with high-quality products. The result: a festive celebration that maintains the essence of Christmas, and dresses it with sophistication and its own personality, in a proposal priced at 109 euros for Christmas, and 99 euros for Sant Esteve.

"The Claris is a benchmark as a terrace-restaurant open all year round, with a strong commitment to local gastronomy," highlights Joaquim Clos, general manager of Derby Hotels Collection. Precisely this local gastronomy is the protagonist of the hotel's proposal for this Christmas, but it is not alone: it is hybridized with exoticism in Os-kuro, where "the excellence of what is exotic, with a marked Japanese root, but with a nod to the fish and seafood from our coasts" is sought, adds Clos.

A New Year's Eve of gastronomic sophistication

The last night of the year will be experienced with special intensity at La Terraza del Claris. To bid farewell to the year, the restaurant presents a mosaic of flavors and textures featuring the best products from the sea and land: bivalves from the Rías de Galicia, king crab, Palamós red prawn, Huelva scarlet prawn, and Wagyu fillet. A proposal designed to surprise demanding palates and toast to the new year with the best gastronomy.

In parallel, Os-kuro —Claris's second gastronomic venture— offers a New Year's Eve dinner with Japanese inspiration, featuring up to 12 different species of fish and seafood and an apotheosis finale with Wagyu from Miyazaki prefecture. In an intimate and almost theatrical space, from the sushi bar, the chef will offer an authentic gastronomic spectacle with a strong Japanese character and subtle nods to local products, in an experience priced at 375 euros.

This proposal honors Claris's designation as a Gastronomic Hotel, awarded by the Gremi d'Hotels de Barcelona, which recognizes establishments that contribute to enhancing Barcelona's gastronomic prestige both locally and internationally, through a quality offering, exceptional spaces, and a commitment to local products.

Christmas Cocktails with a Unique Stamp

Claris's commitment, however, goes beyond food. To accompany the various culinary options, the Claris Terrace makes a clear bet on a new Christmas cocktail: the Rudolf. Of a striking red, the cocktail is citrusy, velvety, and with touches of acidity. The red touch is provided by redcurrant fused with Bombay Sapphire, grapefruit juice, and lemon juice, finished with Aperol foam, chocolate shavings, and fresh redcurrant.

The chain also brings art closer to citizens and visitors from other places in Barcelona, such as Hotel Bagués, with a modernist collection of jewelry and vases by Émile Gallé on La Rambla, Hotel Granados and its pieces of Asian art and Roman mosaics, and Hotel Derby, with lithographs by artists such as Joan Miró, Wilfredo Lam, Antoni Tàpies, Xavier Mariscal or Ràfols Casamada. Luxury art and gastronomy go hand in hand to elevate the Christmas experience in the heart of Barcelona.
