The Barcelona startup accelerates in its new connectivity area, with an agreement through which it has managed more than a thousand orders in the first month, and which it plans to replicate in Italy

Eltex continues to expand its reach: the Catalan startup added aerothermal energy and home electrification solutions to solar energy, and has now taken another leap, venturing into Internet connectivity. And it has done so hand in hand with a technology giant: the company has joined SpaceX's Starlink authorized installer program.

With the agreement, the Barcelona-based company has become the first authorized installer of the American company in Spain —and plans not to stop there, but to also be one in Italy—. Eltex, which already operated an installation ecosystem, has accelerated its deployment as a result of this alliance: it has managed more than one thousand installation orders in its first month of activity throughout Spain.

"You have to be everywhere, in every province, on every island. It has been a challenge," highlights Eltex founder and CEO, Charles Deknudt. The challenge, according to him, has translated into a realization: "Achieving this volume of orders in the first month confirms both market demand and the capacity of our infrastructure to adapt quickly to new categories."

"Eltex was created to be scalable," summarizes Deknudt, who founded the company in 2021. Of Belgian origin and now 26 years old, Deknudt emphasizes that the Eltex platform is "prepared to deploy complex home technologies on a large scale, from electrification products to connectivity."

In fact, the startup plans to maintain this pace of one thousand monthly contracts through the agreement with Elon Musk's company. To achieve this volume —and maintain it—, the company has multiplied its coverage in Spain, including the islands, to increase its execution capacity without modifying its operating model. "We have incorporated 50 certified installation partners," Deknudt details. Each of them has teams of between two and ten installers, in total figures that fluctuate depending on the moment and demand.

Beyond the figures, the deployment of satellite connectivity represents a qualitative leap in areas with poor Internet connectivity from conventional operators, especially in rural areas. Through the agreement, Starlink provides satellite connectivity technology, and Eltex provides its platform to bring it to every door.

Next step: Italy

With this first success case in Spain, the company looks further. The objective is to replicate the model in other markets and apply the same infrastructure to accelerate the deployment of home electrification and connectivity solutions. The first will be Italy, a market where Eltex already landed in 2022 with its platform. "We have already demonstrated that the platform works. Now we are building our network of installers in Italy."

These installations, furthermore, not only bring satellite Internet connection to homes, but also "bring many people closer to the Eltex ecosystem," highlights Deknudt, about a platform that encompasses solar energy, aerothermal energy, and electrification solutions, in a digital infrastructure that allows deploying home-related technologies relying on its technology and its network of local installer partners.
