New alliance within the Barcelona entrepreneurial ecosystem. EAE Business School Barcelona and Tech Barcelona have joined forces to boost innovation and connect the business school's students, faculty, and community with the digital, technological, and entrepreneurial environment of the Catalan capital.

Through this agreement, the business school becomes a Main Partner of Tech Barcelona. This connection will lead to the creation of a new actor within Barcelona's ecosystem: an EAE Entrepreneurship and Innovation Hub at Pier 01. From the emblematic Palau de Mar headquarters, startups propelled by EAE will forge synergies with other initiatives from this Tech Barcelona hub.

The new hub will host EAE's entrepreneurial students, as well as alumni and collaborators. It will become operational starting next week, as explained by the Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at EAE Business School Barcelona, Natalia Bagnati, to The New Barcelona Post. She highlighted that this alliance creates a "favorable context for a good idea" emerging from the business school to materialize into real solutions.

EAE wants the new hub "to merge with Barcelona's entrepreneurial ecosystem and be a creator of new startups, and even the next Catalan unicorn"
The space will occupy 30 square meters within Pier 01, with an exclusive area of co-working for EAE students, as well as a common area where they can share experiences with other actors in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, according to Bagnati. "We want this new hub merges with Barcelona's entrepreneurial ecosystem and be an architect of new startups, and even of the next Catalan unicorn," he proclaimed.

"Barcelona is a clear pole of attraction for talent", which also attracts students of different nationalities who want to train in the Catalan capital, according to the EAE executive. It is committed not only to attracting international talent, but also to retaining it, in a city that she describes as a leading pole of entrepreneurship and innovation in Southern Europe: "A cradle of opportunities".

The creation of the new Entrepreneurship and Innovation center at Pier 01 of Tech Barcelona represents an "important milestone for the association, constituting an ideal space to foster the connection between talent, disruptive technologies and innovative business models", defended the CEO of Tech Barcelona, Miquel Martí.

And this alliance provides more tools to streamline the creation of disruptive initiatives, according to Bagnati. In addition to boosting the hub, the agreement will include the promotion of other joint initiatives, such as the creation and dissemination of an annual report on entrepreneurship and innovation in the city and the participation of Tech Barcelona as a partner in the development of EAE Business School's academic programs. For its part, the business school will support the association's startup ecosystem with its training models and methodological experience.
