Strategic decision by Eada to face its growth. The Barcelona business school will launch a second campus in the heart of the Eixample in 2023, in a nine-story building with a surface area of 4,200 square meters that it has fully leased and that belongs to Grupo Catalana Occidente. Specifically, Eada's new classroom building will be located at Provença street number 216, between Aribau and Muntaner, not far from its main headquarters, located just three blocks away, at Aragó with Muntaner. This is the former Barcelona headquarters of the insurer Crédito y Caución, a company of the Catalana Occidente group that in 2018 announced its relocation to new offices located in the 22@ district. The corner building has been completely renovated by the insurance group controlled by the Serra family during the pandemic and now boasts a new exterior facade that is in line with the aesthetic of Eada's main headquarters in Aragó, which was also completely remodeled and inaugurated in November 2019.For Eada, it was very important that its new campus was also located in the center of Barcelona, according to the president of the business school's board of trustees, Koke Pursals: "the rental of this building is due to the expansion of the school and, above all, to the value that our participants have always placed on the campus's location in the city center." Eada needed more space after the launch of a new degree, the Global Bachelor of Business Administration (GBBA), which it has launched in alliance with the French school Skema and which begins in September, with 90% international students from 23 countries. The annual cost of this master's degree is 14,500 euros. According to Eada, this new campus will be for undergraduate students and will become operational in 2023, coinciding with the creation of a second degree in technology. The academic center will execute an investment of one million euros to adapt the interior of the building to its needs. Eada also has a campus outside Barcelona, in Collbató, where it has 9,000 square meters for management skills development courses. In the recently concluded 2021-2022 academic year, 5,500 participants have passed through the different programs of the business school.

Despite the continuous expansion of the 22@ district, there is an increasing demand for quality offices in the city center, a phenomenon that has accelerated as a consequence of the pandemic. Thus, owners of outdated office buildings are now firmly committed to investing in their remodeling and adapting them to new standards of energy efficiency and sustainability. Limitations on the opening of new hotels also favor this phenomenon. In 2021, the supply of workspace in the most central areas of the city increased by 12,000 square meters, a figure not seen since 2015.It is expected that in three years, the center of Barcelona will gain 100,000 more square meters of office space"The center of Barcelona is in high demand for facilitating the hybrid work model thanks to its proximity to the rest of the city's districts and its good connection with the municipalities of the metropolitan area," explains Natalia Tost, partner at Cushman & Wakefield in Barcelona. According to the expert, "it is increasingly common" for companies and entities from all sectors, such as Eada, to choose a "building urban friendlyto cope with its growth."This building will be key for Eada's growth, as it covers all the needs of current talent, in addition to being 100% aligned with its ESG policies, factors that make a company sustainable through its social, environmental, and good governance commitment," says Tost, who brokered the rental operation. The 4,200 m² surface of the new Provença campus is almost comparable in size to the Aragó complex (4,500 m²). It is distributed among nine floors, with two terraces and an interior patio with garden areas. The building also has parking, with all spaces equipped with electric chargers.
