With the arrival of the holidays, good weather also arrives to enjoy the extensive heritage of our country, and even more so in a year like this, when we still have certain difficulties to travel abroad. For this reason, on July 8, an installation with five doors was presented on the Lluís Companys promenade in Barcelona, by the Agència Catalana del Patrimoni Cultural (ACdPC), inviting everyone to discover the places full of history and art that exist throughout the Catalan territory.
These doors symbolize a type of representative space of the country's heritage, such as archaeological sites, museums, house museums, castles, convents, and monasteries. All of them have a QR code printed on them through which visitors can get information about all the facilities that are part of the Catalan cultural heritage, and in turn, they are the excuse to present the launch of the De Bat a Bat pass, an annual pass that allows unlimited entry, without prior reservation, for a whole year to the different heritage spaces managed by the Agència.
Five doors that invite everyone to discover the places full of history and art that exist throughout the Catalan territoryWith this card, we will be provided with a leaflet where we can see the exact location of each of the 29 places on the map, as well as practical information so that we have everything at hand. The pass can be purchased in person at the museum ticket offices (with the exception of three facilities) any day of the year during their opening hours, or through the Agència's website.
Its acquisition and use are very simple. There are two types of passes that we can choose from, which are individual or multipersonal. The general conditions are the same in both cases: right to free and unlimited access to the 29 museums and monuments for one year from the first validation date; a single payment; and a reduced price on the pass according to the official ACdPC rates. The difference is that the multipersonal pass allows up to three companions, whether or not they are family members, to have the same right to free and unlimited access, while the individual pass is for personal use.
The fees are €30 for the individual modality —€25 with reduced fare—, and €70 for the multi-person modality —€60 with reduced fare—, it is only necessary to present the corresponding accreditation to opt for the reduced fares. In addition, subscribers will be able to enjoy exclusive promotions.
